I bought a used SUV from a dealer. Unfortunately the previous owner had let hard water spots etch into the paint and glass. After being let down by another car service with promises of the water spots being removed (it didn't work), I came across Vivid. Tye was thorough in his explanation of how the hard water spot removal, and was honest about the fact that it might not be possible to get all the water spots 100% gone. We chose to have them attempt the water spot removal, as well as tint the SUV. The SUV came out looking wonderful, with almost all the water spots gone. He took the time when we came to pick up the SUV to show us how water spots had etched into the paint as well, and gave us his suggestion of ceramic coating with paint correction. The water spot job and tint job was so well done that we decided to do the ceramic coating as well, and I'm very glad I did! The car's paint looks impeccable, and again, the explanation provided for ceramic coating options and care was thorough. Also, Tye, Greg, and everyone at the shop (I apologize for forgetting names!) was courteous and a pleasure to speak with. I cannot recommend them enough.

Best in the business! I wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else. Great customer service and products. Always go ceramic tent it is unbelievable how much it helps with keeping the heat out! And ask what they can do to reduce glare and and reflecting the heat on that front window. 100% worth it.

Had a great experience with Tye at Vivid Finish and Films. We added tint to the front windows on my Model Y. It has been a few weeks and there are no defects that I have found. The tint is perfect! They paid attention to details and kept the car clean. I would definitely recommend taking your vehicle to them and plan to return when I have something else that needs tint or PPF.

I found Vivid Finish and Films after an internet search as I wanted to put some protective covering on my new vehicle. I was so impressed with the videos of paint correction that I decided I wanted to also have them do my 2013 Challenger. The guys at Vivid Finish and Films absolutely did an AMAZING job with my vehicles. They brought my 2013 Hemi-Orange Challenger back to a sparkling shine with their paint correction procedure. They also did a BEAUTIFUL job putting on the ultimate armor on my Honda Civic Type R. Did I mention their tinting jobs on both vehicles was done to perfection. If you have an older vehicle that you cherish and what to being back that shine or you want long-lasting protection for your car - contact these guys! I couldn’t be happier!

Vivid Finish and Films did a fantastic job on both of our cars! We got PPF and ceramic on both of our Mazdas and could not be happier. Their warranties are fantastic and they honor them without issue. They take pride in the quality of their work and helped keep both of our cars beautiful for years to come. We also had the ceramic UV window tint done and the difference is amazing. We could not recommend Vivid enough!

Greg and Tye are professional, knowledgeable and experts of their craft! They were recommended by another local business for what I expressed assistance with: dent repair and paint correction. Before and after are like night and day! Greg worked his magic to get the dents out, THANK YOU! While at the business, I decided to get some additional tint done, and what an amazing decision that was! Tye, you rock!! THANK YOU as well. If you are in need of any of the services offered at this business, I highly recommend giving them a call or shooting them an email for a consult, so they can make your dreams a reality!

Beyond Aesthetics: Window Tinting For UV Protection

Window tinting isn’t just for visual appeal. Although it’s a beautiful addition to any vehicle, it also plays an important role in protecting your vehicle, as well as the driver, and passengers.

Tinted windows help block dangerous UV Rays which are greatly attributed to skin cancer, and deterioration of eye health. UV rays can also wreak havoc on your vehicle’s interior by fading fabrics and breaking down leather and plastic.

We spend a lot of time in our cars whether it’s our daily work commute, transporting children, or the occasional family road trip, UV exposure isn’t something to take lightly. This is an even larger problem here in South Carolina where the suns rays can be quite harsh.

The Truth About Ceramic Window Tint, IR Window Tint, Heat Control Window Tint

Window films, like many other things have experienced immense technological advancements in the past few years.

Through all the advancements, many new terms have emerged to describe the new window tint films. Among the new descriptive terms, ceramic tint, nano-ceramic tint, and IR tint are the ones that can be the most confusing.

Below is a summary of what these names mean.

IR Tint

“IR” simply refers to infrared heat, and infrared heat heat is the type of heat that you feel from the sun. What’s unique about infrared heat is that it radiates heat onto people, or objects without heating the air.

Imagine driving in your car on a hot sunny day. Your air conditioner is running full-blast, but you can still feel the heat from the sun on your skin. That heat on your skin is IR heat.

IR tint is a tint that’s designed to reduce IR heat.

Ceramic Tint

Ceramic tint has layers of IR blockers that cause IR heat to bounce back and forth between the layers. The IR heat is ultimately displaced.

Ceramic tint and IR tint are foundationally the same: They’re engineered to reduce IR heat.

Nano-Ceramic Tint

Nano ceramic tint is an advanced version of standard ceramic tint. Nano ceramic tint has additional layers of infrared blockers that allow it to block between 96% and 99% of IR heat.

Nano-Ceramic tint Offers the highest level of IR heat blocking

Ultimately, each of these films are designed to reduce or even block IR heat.

The reality is that nearly every automotive window tint manufacturer in the world has a “ceramic tint” or an “IR tint”, but not all ceramic, nano-ceramic, or IR window films are created equally.

Kavaca Window Films – The Crowned Champion In The World Of Tint.

Kavaca is made by Ceramic Pro – the world leader in nano ceramic technology for more than a decade.

Ceramic Pro has used it’s vast knowledge of nano-ceramic technology to create window films that are world class.

When you compare window film specifications between manufacturers, Kavaca takes the prize, every time.
